The Last Colour Challenge

Top: Zara, Leggings: Zara, Bag: Mulberry Bayswater Satchel

This was my outfit from Monday, very simple, very black, very me. I've been trying to find a way of getting my photos posted without losing out on quality, I think I've cracked it but I'm not entirely sure yet.

I love to wear all black though, it just makes everything so much simpler and it definitely makes choosing an outfit much faster.

Folding and More Folding

Thursday, 27 February 2014

So today I felt like posting a little about the project I'm working on at the moment for art school as it's a major part of my life. It's called the 'Structures' project because we started by looking at a variety of local architectural structures and taking inspiration from them.

One particular idea of mine that I am working on a chevron pattern that can be seen as part of the image below. I love how detailed it looks and the repeat pattern aspect of it. At the moment I am just creating lots of panels of this form and then trying them out on a mannequin.

I'm not sure what my final piece is going to end up looking like. Originally I had planned to have a body con skirt style, with a large rounded poncho/cape idea on the top but now my ideas are evolving and I don't know where they're headed. Maybe I'll post some images of my original design sketches. Below are two arrangements I'm playing with at the moment, I especially love the high necked style of the one on the right. I'm excited to see what my final piece will be.

Simple Sunday

Monday, 24 February 2014

Top: Red Herring, Jeans: Levi, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo

This was my outfit from yesterday. I had a lazy Sunday and just caught up on work around my apartment and watched films. I also popped out to the shops to buy some food so this is what I wore then. I've not worn blue denim jeans in ages so this was quite a change from the black I usually pick up. I tend to find blue jeans quite hard to style, I'm not sure if that's just me.

Bag: Coach Legacy Candace Medium Carry All in Deep Port, Top: Zara, Leggings: Zara, Boots: Kurt  Geiger

I really loved the outfit I wore today. This is the first time that I've worn this top and I really love it. It flows really nicely at the front, as well as the amazing texture/print it has. My Coach bag is also making it's first appearance on my blog. Photos really don't do it justice, it's such a gorgeous colour that works in any season. I love the colour combination of the deep port and grey, very unusual yet modern. Definitely one of my favourite bags.

Red-Check Please!

Top: Next, Jeans: Zara, Scarf: Zara, Bag: Marc By Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo, Necklace: Ortak

This scarf is definitely one of my favourite purchases I've made this winter. I love how it adds a little bit of colour to my usually monochrome outfits. I believe you can never have too many checked or tartan scarves.

Daily Grey

Boots: M&S Jeans, Top and Scarf: Zara, Bag: Kate Spade, Lipstick: Mac Hot Tahiti
Today I had a relaxed Sunday, and I couldn't think of a better outfit for running to the shops. I love just throwing my hair into a bun, putting on an oversized top with a scarf and some skinny jeans. It looks so put together, when really it's a very simple concept. These are my new favourite boots, I'm in love with the cut out detail on the sides.
